Victoria Rose, Creator of Luminescence
Founder Luminous Birth, Pre- & Perinatal Psychology and Health Practitioner and Educator, Registered Massage Therapist, Reiki Master for Fertility, Pregnancy, Birth & Postpartum, Contemporary Vegetalista, Heal Your Own Birth Guide, Ceremonialist, Sacred Birth Keeper, Pre-Conception & Family Visionary.
I was born on unceded traditional Mi’kmaq territory, now known as one of Canada’s eastern maritime provinces, Nova Scotia. My home is Gaia and my greatest path of service is to the Mother. Luminous Birth is an expression of my deepest love and is a great synthesis of my ongoing experiential explorations and studies in the realms of plant consciousness, pre - and perinatal psychology and health, epigenetic’s, sacred birth, family creation, and prenatal memory.
I'm thrilled you've discovered Luminous Birth and that these teachings will touch your life as they have also profoundly touched mine. Luminous Birth is an expression of my hearts greatest love and a living library of wisdom that holds the potential to re-attune us with our original nature from where we can receive and give birth to our maximum potential.
My inner journey was initiated by a near-death experience at the early age of 21. Several major spiritual remembering’s and initiations emerged from that point which have sculpted me into a confident and capable guide for others.
I’ve had the great privilege to study with master teachers and healers in the Amazon Basin of Peru, Canada, and Hawaii and am a lifelong student of the plants.
As a weaver of science and spirit, my intention is to transmit a universal language that naturally invites people home into their hearts, where they too can remember their original essence, and return home to sovereignty.
I believe the souls coming to earth at this time are highly sophisticated beings who have much to teach us and if we simply remember what it is to truly listen, they will surely lead us through these times of change into a new and thriving reality. By becoming aware of our own programming, learned beliefs, and core misunderstandings, we maximize the potential for incoming souls to incarnate as fully and completely as possible: undisrupted, unmanaged, uninhibited by our old and exhausted systems and structures and the projection of our wounds from the past. We have an extraordinary capacity to allow newborn consciousness to remain intact from the very beginning of life, and now have unprecedented amounts of knowledge and research on trauma, memory, and human development, to step up and actualize this.
I’ve come to understand that our purpose is not something we do, it's who we are. Our true essence is ever-present and to unlock our original blueprint and inherent genius, we simply need to attune to the infinite present moment. It’s all here. The doorway to true liberation is hiding in plain sight.
Life has reinforced my instinct and led me onto new and uncharted territory. It's led me deep into the Peruvian Amazon, where I lived, unlearned, remembered, healed and worked alongside indigenous master healers; it led me onto the rapturous land of Kaua'i, Hawaii, known in Tibetan scriptures as the birth portal of the planet - where I was profoundly initiated as a birth-keeper and viscerally recalled what it truly is to get born.
Life continues beckoning me into the boundless inner dimensions of the heart in ways that maximize my capacity to receive, to love and to give.
The last decade has cultivated me into the author of my own story, and the beauty of it all is that I get to empower others, just like you, to do the same.
I've facilitated spaces for thousands of courageous souls to move through transformative healing experiences and have assisted hundreds through the sophisticated and intricate process of integrating spiritual emergences into their bodies, lives and relationships. I've midwifed countless women through the portal of their wombs and into the feminine matrix of prosperity where they reclaim the power of their cyclical nature, fertility, creative expression, and sexuality to generate their true value and create the life, health, and wealth they deserve.
I've assisted women and families around the world to navigate the physical-psycho-spiritual dimensions of conception, pregnancy and birth, by facilitating multi-dimensional unlearning processes that have supported
them to manifest their wildest, transcendental births outside the medical system in the privacy and comfort of their homes, accompanied by their loved ones.
I've experienced death and rebirth more times than I can count and I continue to be initiated by the magic, mystery and mastery of this great continuum we call Life. I know that we have an extraordinary capacity to assist the midwifing of the Aquarian Age as the ancient-future wisdom that is now incarnating on planet earth, and that we do this by accepting radical responsibility for ourselves, reconciling the stories and beliefs that are woven into the living fabric of our bodies and being expressed through our DNA, and accepting death as the natural partner to both birth and life.
To give birth to our fullest and highest expression, whether that be through the birth of family, an inspired vision, company, project, creative endeavor, you name it, many parts of us must die.
And. . . it's all exquisitely designed by nature be an ecstatic and transcendent experience.
I'm deeply moved, humbled and changed by every human I walk beside, and with that, I sincerely bow to the inner wisdom and guide within you, who's inviting me to become a part of your story.

Poppy’s Story
When I was 17, I responded to a deep inner calling to travel to India and discover my purpose. Something in me knew that I had to go there to figure out what I really wanted from life. Two years later I moved to Spain and started studying Ayurvedic medicine at a makeshift university in London - distance learning, which in those days was not as common.
It was great, apart from one issue: we hardly ever received feedback for our assignments as our tutors were always in India... So I went back to the drawing board.
Another few years passed and I ended up traveling around South America,
studying for a Biology A-level on night buses so I could get into herbal medicine college in London. I was so ready, and at the same time I had no idea what I was getting ready for.
I started studying at Middlesex University and fell instantly in love. Halfway through first year, when I realised I could actually “be a herbalist”, I was sold.
With my knowledge of herbs and nutrition, I was able to finally heal myself from the extremely painful periods I had suffered from all my life.I moved back home to the Algarve, Portugal to start practicing and spent the next 9 years treating women and mums from all walks of life with endometriosis, PCOS, amenorrhoea, thyroid issues, postpartum depression, gut issues and menopausal symptoms.
Further training in herbal energetics & Chinese medicine transformed my ability to help these women, and enabled me to heal my own subclinical hypothyroidism when this appeared.
Over the years I have added postpartum care, hair mineral analysis testing and cycle tracking to my qualifications & experience - all of which helped me overcome postpartum struggles, extreme fatigue, and heal from 2 home abortions.
A lot of people come into the health profession because they’ve discovered natural medicine and healed themselves from a chronic health problem.
I came in from the other side. This work is my calling, my purpose - it was what my 17-year old self was searching for. And, in some ways, I was able to heal myself only through the experience of healing and helping other women first.
Barbara Essman
MHDFS, Sacred Birthing Community Doula, Elder and Wisdom Keeper, Co-Founder and Director of The Sacred Birthing School
Barbara was born and raised on the island of Oahu with a long history as an island girl. Her great-grandparents arrived on the island of Kauai in 1875 after a long journey from Scotland via the West Indies. Her grandmother was born on the island of Hawaii and her grandfather came into this world on the island of Maui. Her mother was born on Oahu and all of these were home births. Barbara continued this island lineage when she arrived in 1945, however her birth was greatly disturbed because of the then current birth practice of hospitalizing birthing moms and giving them heavy doses of drugs – in Barbara’s case ether, and separating moms and babies for many days so mom and baby could recover.
Having sufficiently recovered from the birth Barbara grew beautifully, went off to college in California, got married and had children – all that was expected of a woman at this time. After a divorce, returning to college, working full time to support 2 beautiful children and discovering a deeper essence of self, Barbara began a journey to recovering from the trauma of birth. This was a subtle journey at first as she was unaware of the profound impact the birth had on her. She was drawn into the early childhood education field and got an AA degree in child development from Honolulu Community College, a BS degree in family resources from The University of Hawaii at Manoa, and a MA degree in human development with a focus on infants and toddlers from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena California. While doing this course work Barbara attended many workshops and trainings that were drawing her to working with younger and younger children. This included the Infant/Toddler course at Syracuse University in New York with Alice Honig and the RIE training (Resources for Infant Educators) with Madga Gerba in Los Angles.
After about 25 years in the early childhood education field that included being a preschool teacher for 3 and 4 year olds, a director of several preschools on Oahu, working with PATCH (People Attentive to Children (a resource and referral agency)), working with infants and toddlers at the University of Hawaii Children’s Center and the infant and toddler lab school on the campus of Honolulu Community College, being the parent and infant educator trainer for Kamehameha Schools, and lecturing at the University of Hawaii and Honolulu Community College, Barbara saw clearly a need to support pregnancy and pregnant families. So, while continuing her work with young children and their families she got certified as a childbirth educator with The International Childbirth Education Association and began to teach childbirth preparation classes. She did this for many years on the Marine Base in Kaneohe on Oahu working with military families and the incredible stress they live through as many daddies were called off to war. She also became a certified doula trained by Penny Simkin and Doulas of North America. She expended this doula role and got certified to be a DONA doula trainer. About 10 years into her doula work Barbara meet Sunni Karll at a workshop with Pam England on Oahu. Sunni is the author of the book Sacred Birthing: Birthing A NewHumanity. A friendship grew and the Sacred Birthing vision was firmly planted in Barbara’s heart and soul. This is when she began to really explore all the ramifications of her own birth and the profound effect it had on her life. She had not realized the amount of trauma that she had been holding and this trauma was indeed carried into the births she was being called to support as a doula. This was a huge wake up call and it became difficult for Barbara to continue to teach others to be doulas until she had fully explored her own birth history. It became very clear that a weekend doula training and then going out into the world to be a doula was just not enough. She developed, with other doulas on Oahu, a 12-week course that began to go into more depth around birth stories, but this was still not enough and she had to step out of this for a while.
As the Sacred Birthing energy grew on the island of Maui where Sunni Karll was living Barbara attended two Birthshops that took her to the next level of Birthing A New Humanity. From here her life began to shift, just as our planet is shifting, and she left her home and family (older son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren whom she had shared a home with for 12 years) and moved to the island of Kauai where Sunni and Sacred
Birthing was gestating. Here she became fully immersed in the clearing of her own early wounds that include connecting with the ancestors and clearing this energy. This works continues and it is very clear to Barbara that a doula course must include this clearing work before a doula can be fully present for someone else. Each birth that she attends opens up her heart more and more to the full potential and power of a loving birth. We can let go of birth being about pain and fear and know it is a joyful event that the whole world must celebrated as sacred.
Here is a piece of writing from the introduction to Barbara’s master’s thesis.“Childbirth is a time of connection, building relationships, exploring personal strengths and abilities, facing fears, team building, growing a family, love and faith in the human body. It is also a time of great fear, unknowing, pain, loss of control and often giving over of power and self to a medical model of childbirth, the delivery instead of the birth of a baby. Birth is a journey for the baby moving from the warmth of mother’s womb to the warmth of mother’s arms. It is a journey for the mother who gives birth and moves into motherhood with all its rewards, joys, sorrows and twists and turns along the road that has an unknown destination. Life is a journey of unrecognizable magnitude that is often guided by the events that take place at the moment of birth. Was baby eased into the world by mother’s natural undulating waves of energy that caressed baby down her birth cannel and to her arms, or was baby pushed and pulled through this process with an array of drugs and modern medical equipment? Or, did baby and mother start the journey in an operating room as baby was pulled through an opening in mother’s stomach because of the need for a cesarean birth? This beginning step can have an influence for many years to come, perhaps forever. If this first step is full of power and control and feelings of accomplishment and love the journey may be smoother with more joy than sorrow. If the responsibility for the first step of this journey was taken away by the drugs, high tech equipment, and a medical staff trained to manage birth, the journey may be filled with sorrow as both mother and baby continue to let the drugs, high tech equipment and medical staff take responsibility for, and to manage their lives.”
Birthing Sisters and the community doula course is about bringing back the human connections, the relationships, the team building, and exploring personal strengths and abilities. It is about facing fears and developing love, faith and trust in the human body.
Dr. Ann Diamond Weinstein
PhD, Preconception, Prenatal, and Early Life Specialist, Author of Prenatal Development and Parents’ Lived Experiences: How Early Events Shape Our Psychophysiology and Relationships
Dr. Weinstein’s work with women and families spans over three decades. The origins of her current work as a Preconception, Prenatal and Early Parenting Specialist began with her work as a Certified Childbirth Educator for 13 years, and later a Birth Doula. During this time she provided education and support to women and their families through their experiences of pregnancy, birth and the early postnatal period
Ann Diamond Weinstein’s knowledge, research and experience have provided her with a profound understanding of the importance of the preconception and prenatal environment—both inside and outside of women’s wombs—and the way it shapes children’s development in the prenatal period and over their lifespan.
As an educator and coach Dr. Weinstein focuses on stress management and issues relating to preconception, pregnancy, birth, and early parenting experiences. Ann’s book, “Prenatal Development and Parents’ Lived Experiences: How Early Events Shape Our Psychophysiology and Relationships”, offers knowledge, research and theory about the earliest developmental period—from conception to birth, which holds even greater consequences for the health and development of the human organism than was previously understood. Theory and research in multiple disciplines provide the foundation for the exploration of how experiences during conception and time in the womb; during and after birth; and experiences with caregivers and the family system in the early postnatal period impact an individual physically, cognitively, emotionally and socially over their life span.
Paola Zuazua
Founder Early Life Epigenetics, Functional and Naturopathic Medicine Practitioner, Educator on Pre- and Perinatal Development of Psychology and Health
I am a mother, a helper, survivor, blessed and also flawed human being that is deeply and truly passionate with what I do that is so close to my heart.
Because one of the things that I have not only learnt but experienced is how our Early Life is a such an important foundation imprinted very deep inside our selves... from those times even before from when we have been conceived, those times we have been inside the womb, when we have been babies and children all the way till this very moment... Touching every aspect of our lives at all angles.
We are such a magnificent creatures with a magnificent machinery contained in this body, in this mind, in this environment and this soul within and out... NOTHING TO LEAVE TO CHANCE, TO TIME OR LUCK.
I have a life-long interest in consciousness, sentience and being and with the time I developed particular interest in how our earliest experiences and the course of our lives shape who we become and shape how our genes mark and express, supporting our selves and bodies to ease or dis-ease.
I am Originally trained in Business Administration with large experience in Strategy all over the Globe, and none of my previous experiences and expertise, none of all that being all over the world and all that professional success, none of that doing “as perfect as could be”, being “as strong as I could be”... prepared me for working within the pre- and perinatal, epigenetics and origins of health and wellbeing realm.
One of the biggest challenges I got on the way, was going from trying to do all perfect to be more actually present; from being strong, to being soft... and I am on it every-single-day of my life. I do it for me, for my children and for every single person I get to touch along my journey.
There was a moment in my life where I went back to that spark in my self, aiming to be there for others. And that is how, inspired on my own life and struggles, my own feeling and healing, I decided to literally go back to school.
I have one of the most unique perspectives, from functional nutrition, functional medicine and naturopathy, epigenetics to pre- and perinatal development of psychology and health and autobiographical consciousness. So, I got determined to share my knowledge and make myself available for a better being of others.
With my extensive training in naturopathy, functional medicine, pre- and perinatal psychology and autobiographical consciousness, I provide a comprehensive approach that addresses both physical and emotional harmony.
I understand the fears and uncertainties that come with bringing a new life into the world, and I am here to provide you with the knowledge, guidance, and emotional support you need to navigate this journey with confidence and peace based on the unconditional love we have for our children since long before we even conceive them. Today, after all these years, I have nothing but great and happy success stories, your stories, the stories of your babies and children... my own stories and the stories of my own children.
Whether you're struggling with fertility issues, concerned about passing on genetic conditions, or simply looking to optimize your and your baby's inner harmony and overall well-being, I am here to support you every step of the way.I am truly happy to be here and to welcome you!
